Steampunk Stories- The Ephemera: Servant's Quarters
Added 2021-04-24 20:49:40 +0000 UTCThe motifs of steampunk storytelling have always fascinated me. I was actually planning to do steampunk cosplay before the pandemic, but some things obviously got in the way. I have a bit of steampunk worldbuilding in the mind control genre I have long wanted to work on.
I am designing an interactive experience where the reader and listener experiences an invite to a mysterious party aboard a partly sentient airship, overseen by a mysterious noblewoman and her many servants. Ultimately the theme will be one of mystery, determining who of the guests attending is secretly a simulacrum, an automaton resembling a real person. The answer could even be that the listener is just such a creature, participating in a masquerade among the guests, ignorant of their own nature. Attached are two pieces from the middle of the story, mind control audio voiced by Victoria Shine and with a script of course written by myself.
You attend at the servant's quarters of a glorious airship and are met by a maid who seems to be in two minds about her predicament, but both minds are really trying to sell you on joining service aboard this glistening craft of bronze and amber. You don't remember how you got onboard, just a gilded card full of swirls and characters you could not read...
But as her hospitality appears to be intensely pleasurable, you'd rather accept her ministrations than think too much about anything at all.
F4M and F4F versions both attached. More to come in this world. Very happy with the results.
