INSTRUMENTAL PROG MARATHON | FIRST TIME REACTION to Wishbone Ash / Elder / TAUK / Camel / Rush πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Comments

Andy Powell on stereo left, Ted Turner on stereo right. The band still holds on firmly to the tightness of their original arrangements whilst touring heavily today, despite only Andy Powell remaining of the original members; Martin Turner too runs his own WA preservation society, touring and playing. [John Wetton had seemed like a dream addition to the WA line-up for the album Number The Brave, but his song-writing opportunities were going to remain limited after King Crimson, so he left even before the promotional touring began.]

George Davis-Stewart

Twin lead guitars with Wishbone Ash, first band to do that. At this point it was Andy Powell and Ted Turner (not the media mogul) for the first four albums and then became Andy Powell and Laurie Wisefield. Martin Turner (no relation to Ted) was replaced by King Crimson's John Wetton for their tenth album. While their early stuff is considered their best (proogy) stuff, the Wisefield era is also fantastic. You should do more Ash....they're still touring with only Powell as the original member.
