Lay Down n' Listen w/ Lex | Don Sebesky - "Firebird, Bird of Fire"

Hey guys,

I recently reacted to this in a marathon by RG and I just had to share it with Lex. She was laying down to relieve her back when I started playing it. I figured, why not record this moment? Maybe others would like to experience this with her? Let us know what you thought!

Eyes closed, laying low...

Wishing you all a great weekend,

Nick, Lex & Marley... LOTS of Marley here! :)

Don died yesterday. :(

And sweet Marley watching over her, wondering if she's okay. :) Ommmmm Thank you Nick for exploring a different angle and POV.

It was very spacey and relaxing- sorry that Lex is having back pains I certainly can sympathize with that for most of my adult life..

Glad you had this idea to record while listening in a more comfortable position! Like David says above, you don't have to be in that standard position you've been doing. Perhaps you have newer equipment now that lets you move the camera around? Cool! You could sit on a couch. Ride in the car. Stand up in the middle of the room. Anything! We always enjoy your sharing of your experiences.

Yes R.G she heard the Mahavishnu version in the car. We have a system were I place all songs I react to on a Spotify list. She goes through that list every day. We might do more of these videos I had to see her reaction to this. I'm happy i filmed it!

Hope she heard the Mahavishnu piece first, to put what they were doing in context. You could also do the same (not on film) with the marathon with Brubeck's "Elementals" and Oregon's "Queen Of Sydney", and maybe the "Melodic Marathon" I did. The trumpet was Freddie Hubbard.

Great idea! No law that says you have to be sitting at a desk in order to react to music. And what a cool flashback to a time when The Big Box was among our collection. My better half's family was in the record bidniz and she was privy to many free demos, including this one. As a fan of MVO and Stravinky, a merger was too enticing to pass up...and they delivered in spades. Hearing it for the first time with headphones was a particular treat, as was the tender two-shot with Lex and Marley in peaceful repose. Interpretive dance would be a good way to extend this evolution of the form. Encore!

That was awesome. I love orchestral music that goes outside tradition while still using the classical form. And what a great way to listen, from the floor! Eyes closed es mejor. 🐶

Have a great weekend ! ✌️

Mark, speaking about this post specifically, if you cannot see the video in the post, are you able to click on the link at the bottom that I've just added? If not, please let us know. In regards to the missing full albums, we sent an e-mail to all Patreons on March 2nd then posted an update on March 7th where we specified the shifting of benefits of the existing tiers and also introduced the new tiers: Casa Nostra & The Dan. As of April 1st, full albums are available for the $5 Groupie tier and above. The $1 Fan tier still has access to bloopers, random posts such as this one, and all YouTube-blocked content. Sorry you didn't take notice of our previous post and email - hope you understand and still love us! :) Love, Lex

There's no video here. Where did the Steven Wilson album go? Yes songs? Genesis? Now I'm going to have to come up with new plans for the weekend. Maybe even interact with humans. This is disturbing. Please advise!!!
