R.G's ACOUSTIC INTRO MARATHON (Music w Nick) WATCH THE END FOR SURPRISE!!!

Filmed before we left for Spain, I never had the time to edit this. So today when I uploaded this it was insta blocked.

Unfortunately this Marathon was blocked from YouTube. The blocker in this case was Steve Tibbets or his record company.  Now we know all future Tibbets songs should be uploaded there. If one artist decided to block a video there is not much the other artists can do about it... it's a dumb YouTube rule. But thank God we have Patreon where this is not a problem.

Have fun with the air guitar on the SURPRISE TRACK included in this video!! 🎸

THANKS TO R.G. FOR THIS AMAZING MARATHON!!!

R.G's ACOUSTIC INTRO MARATHON (Music w Nick) WATCH THE END FOR SURPRISE!!!

Comments

Thanks for the kind words. In the past, many of my requests have included a lot of technical proficiency on the guitar. Besides the fusion groups, there have been people like Vai, Shawn Lane, Guthrie, Bill Connors, Chris Poland, etc. I just wanted to do a couple of marathons not featuring so much shredding, so I had the acoustic element, but added some electric so that it wouldn't be all the same. I thought that with less shredding on this one, and the melodic marathon, Lex might like them too, or they could serve as a pallet cleanser on a long drive in between heavier music. I opened this one with The older Weather Report because of the Ralph Towner 12 string intro. That's Wayne Shorter on soprano sax, and Miroslav Vitous on bass (before Jaco). I guess I'll have to forget any future Steve Tibbetts selections. I ended with the Beck to leave the marathon on a melodic, peaceful note (the same as the "melodic marathon"). I guess the inclusion of your Vai on the end (which I know well) means you could use it to transition into more aggressive music.
