"Hello fam, and welcome to another episode of 'LOST MOMENTS' where I delve into the scenes that didn’t make it into my final videos. Today, we’re focusing on the cut scenes from 'QUIET NIGHT.' Let’s explore the creative choices behind what was left on the cutting room floor and why these particular moments didn’t make the final cut.
First off, there’s a POV scene I really liked but ultimately had to discard. The Sims has its limitations, and unfortunately, I couldn't properly integrate this scene into the larger narrative of 'QUIET NIGHT.' Initially, I wanted Isa to start giving some commands even before things escalated, which I thought would set an interesting tone for the scene. Although it didn’t fit in the final video, I was able to use it as a sneak peek to give you all a glimpse of what could have been. It's a shame because the setup was engaging, and I really liked the direction it was taking.
Next, we experimented with dual POVs. In this experimental scene, Kai was supposed to wear a collar and straps. Considering it was his first time in such a setting with Isa, the intensity seemed a bit too high. It would have pushed the boundaries too quickly for Kai's character, making him potentially uncomfortable. I wanted to ensure a more gentle progression in their dynamic, so this scene was also cut.
This scene, originally intended as the finale was cut due to its tone, much lighter and more humorous than the rest of the video. Given the overall tone of 'QUIET NIGHT,' which leans towards a more serious and intense narrative, this final scene felt out of place, so it was ultimately discarded.
This particular scene was cut because, while there was a discussion about using handcuffs, it felt a bit too predictable in the end. I opted for a softer approach, which I believed would add a more nuanced layer to the narrative. Sometimes, steering away from the expected can lead to more subtle and impactful moments. What do you think about this decision? I’m curious to hear your perspectives, so please share your thoughts in the comments below.
Here are other scenes that were beautifully executed but didn’t find their place. In 'QUIET NIGHT,' I strive for seamless continuity, where each segment naturally transitions into the next without abrupt changes. Unfortunately, those scenes lacked the necessary transition animations to achieve that fluid movement between actions.
It's somewhat melancholic to reflect on how much more I could accomplish without the limitations imposed by the game, especially when it comes to animation. It's incredibly frustrating to have a vivid scene in my mind but be unable to bring it to life because the right animations just don't exist. I've considered creating animations myself to bridge these gaps. However, learning how to do this and actually producing them would significantly increase the time it takes to release a video. It’s a challenging balance to strike, wanting to enhance creativity and maintain productivity. I hope to find ways to overcome these hurdles and continue to bring you all richer and more engaging content.
Here we have my favorite scenes, which, unfortunately, I had to leave out for the usual reasons. Additionally, including them would have made the video much longer. I often grapple with the decision of whether to extend a video's length when there’s so much more I want to show. Yet, I worry that keeping you all glued to the screen for too long might lead to a loss of interest. I would really appreciate your thoughts on this, do you prefer longer videos if it means more content, or do you find shorter videos more engaging? Please let me know in the comments. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to me.
Finally, a scene that was too romantically charged was cut. Isa's feelings for Kai are complex, but the embrace in this scene felt too intimate too soon, especially considering Kai's unresolved feelings about his ex. To maintain the nuanced 'friends with benefits' tone I was aiming for towards the end of their interaction, it was necessary to remove this scene.
Thanks for joining me in exploring these 'LOST MOMENTS' from 'QUIET NIGHT.' Your feedback and support are always appreciated. Don’t forget to like, comment, and share, and stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes content!
Love you, bye bye!
