ARTISTS OF THE BLUE MOUNTAINS

My first serious portrait project many years ago. Shot entirely on film using a Mamiya 7 and 43mm and 80mm lenses. This was before I owned a Pentax 67 and used the Mamiya 7 as a landscape camera - and it is probably the best landscape camera ever made. The best optics (for landscapes) but very, very expensive. As a portrait camera it's good too, but has nothing on the Pentax in terms of portraiture. For landscapes however, it is renowned as having large format quality - a beautiful camera indeed with glass to die for. It is a true rangefinder, with an almost  silent shutter, in contrast to the massive clunking of the SLR Pentax. Film used was Portra 400, all hand processed in a drum at home, scanned at home on a Nikon ED8000 and edited.
