This may have already been evident in these captions, but boys who become housewives are doing it as a *career*. The surgeries and transformation of their body is an investment, and they seek out rich, single men (usually older). They're doing what "gold digging" women have done for a long time, but as fewer women are doing that, boys have filled the gap. They don't have to be transgender either. For most of them, they've been unmotivated by college workloads and pitiful job salaries and are willing to radically change themselves just to have a successful life.
