For the last few weeks I have been working on a new rig that would let me pose elastic characters non-destructively without having to split the mesh into parts or sculpt it to make it look good. It is still really finicky, but ideally should let me make stretchy animations with much more flexibility then I could have with just bendy bones or array paths.
Anyway, here are some renders I made testing this thing.
