2020 Update and Character Suggestions for The Next Poll

Hello again! I hope 2020 is treating you good so far! I would like to thank you all for sticking with me for the first month of my Patreon, it means a lot to me!

2019 has been quite the year for me, as I have finally started making 3d art, something I was hoping to do ever since I started drawing 3 years ago. For 2020, there are 3 little "projects" that I want to at least get of the ground by the end of the year. Sadly, I can't talk about them yet, since in my experience most of my projects tend to die in the planning stage and I don't want to get your hopes up only to not deliver. But, just so I can talk about them in the future and have you know what the hell I'm referring to, I shall now give these projects totally arbitrary codenames I'm about to come up with. Let's call them "Project Alchemist", "Project Venus" and "Project Chaplin". Now, speaking of promising you guys stuff and not delivering, let's talk about that animation I showed you in the last update.

The animation is finished, in fact I finished it just a few days after I told you all about it, but there have been some issues rendering it. Sadly the method I used to achieve the melting effect only works in the cycles renderer. And while Cycles gives the best quality and is the most feature complete renderer in Blender, the tradeoff is a slow rendering speed. Pair that with my rather outdated hardware, and you get a render time that comfortably exceeds a year. I have tried every trick in the book to get that time down, but even downgrading it to a quality I'm really not happy with gives me a few weeks of rendering. Sadly, the animation is just not that good to justify all that, so I will have to cut my losses here. Instead, I'll just release it as a large image sequence, rather than an animation. I'm sorry to anyone that was looking forward to it.

Tomorrow, I will make a new poll for you to vote on my next piece. This time, it's gonna be a two parter, first to select the general theme and then a character. If there is a character you would like to see, comment bellow and I will add them to the poll. Just keep in mind:

• No underage characters (or ones that clearly look underage)
• No real people and celebrities
• No OCs of other artists, as I can't guarantee that I'll get premissions from them
