2025-07-27 04:43:05 +0000 UTCThe moment Thorfinn realized Askeladd died in front of him in s1 ep 24, that's when thorfinn realized his sole goal throughout those years since he was a little kid have been wasted just like that. No purpose in mind anymore. Just empty shell of a person.together with the trauma/PTSD of war. Thorfinn never enjoy it. Back in s1 ep 7 I believed, after the first time he fought thorkell at London bridge, thorfinn questioned why these vikings enjoying war. Thorfinn never enjoy fighting to show off. His sole purpose to 'fight' is just to 'kill' Askeladd but that person itself died in the hand of other person (Canute). He has no goal and purpose after those years.
