It’s interesting that despite hating him, Askeladd had arguably as much of an impact on thorfinn as thors did. Telling thorfinn to move on in Askeladd’s last moments instead of telling him about Floki shows that he cared for him and didn’t want him to become a warrior in a weird way

Also one of the wales tribes let them go through on the condition that Canute would do a peace promise but the other tribe was more wary and only let them through after finding out askeladds mom was welsh.
