Zenitsu also “unlocks” his power when he sleeps because he mentions he can still hear even while asleep. So his body has a flight or fight response to what he hears like sleep walking. Because he is unconscious he can’t overthink and get scared or overwhelmed

2025-06-21 07:43:29 +0000 UTCZenitsu is loud and annoying because his hearing is extraordinary. Everything is loud to him so he is always on edge, scared, loud. Kinda like when people wear headphones they unconsciously speak louder. I will say this is the point in the show when his character stops being unbearable

2025-06-21 07:28:49 +0000 UTCI think the reason that there was a focus on Tanjiros injuries was to imply he could not perform his breathing techniques with full power because he could not inhale fully due to his ribs being broken. The form he used to kill the demon allowed him to balance his weight so he could move fast enough while only being able to take short breaths to compensate for his broken ribs. He noticed this when he unconsciously avoided stepping on the demons writings out of his natural respect. Also blood demon art references all demon’s abilities, Tanjiro wasn’t necessarily referring to the writings. But the demon still appreciated his demon “art” (power) being complimented, and he was able to die in peace
