Thank you for the fun journey! you can also watch the Attack on Titan OVAs Levi’s back Story ''A Choice with No Regrets'' (Parts 1 & 2). I highly recommend giving them a watch. They’re a fantastic addition to the main series! 😊

Thanks. Best of luck to you.

Ian Kirk

I know people are usually confused about the Mikasa living with Eren. The reality is they did, there isnt many realities, just forgotten memories, he had last memories with everyone, and then used Historia to alter their memories, the headachs from Mikasa, to her those were "unforgettable" memories. That's why he knew about the headachs, and told her that he hates her, to influence her to forget about the memories. He loved Mikasa and had a "life" with her in the hut, which is why he started crying to Armin saying he doesnt want her to live without him. That's why when the rambling is over, They all remember him differently.

A bit late but here are some very important things I wanted to point out... Its a real mouthful but bear with me... Eren is the freest person in the world giving all his power and the decisions he can make with it, but that's really just the tip of it. In reality he’s a slave to his initial and most profound nature, back in season 1 he believed that we all had a right to take others freedom if it meant preserving our own, he indirectly believed that we should fight for freedom even at the cost of turning from a victim to a perpetrator which is shown in the episode where he kills the kidnappers in season 1 and latter developed in season 4, ( he responded to the cruelty of this world with nothing but cruelty). It’s a stark contrast from Erwin’s ideology ( responding to the cruelty of this world with the concept of legacy and trust to see it through) that was passed down to all the survivors of the survey corp indirectly (the author made it this way, a few examples are Hange, Levi, Armin ect). As well as some interesting offshoots and other interesting ideologies of secondary characters. In the story Eren ironically the person with the greatest power and thus the existence which « theoretically » should be the nearest from freedom is the slave of the story, why ? Because he’s « supposed to » be free physically but being captive of the mind of his younger self (Eren as a kid) nullifies his physical freedom and this is showcased with Aot’s whole timeline deal. In Aot the order IS important if the very thing you want to change happened before you ( Eren’s ideology as a kid of simply « killing the enemy ») and is preventing you actively from changing the past and thus the future then what can you do ? There are more complex explanations out there but that's one simplistic way to look at it. Eren gave three reasons as to why he almost exterminated humans ( not that it makes it any less harrowing) ; For his friends safety, to entrust the future to them and give them a good starting point as international heroes. To live in a world free of human (which is actually very interesting because it’s linked with the last panel of the boy who is going to repeat the cycle… ) But most importantly because he felt like it ; Eren as a kid had a "calling" to fight oppression no matter the cost. So he indirectly made any other choice impossible for Future Eren because future Eren experiences the past at the same time as he experiences the present and since the future was bleak : Zeke's plan, sacrificing Historia and continuing the cycle of children eating their parents to continue having a deterent against the world but more importantly the world's complete refusal to let go of their fear of the unkown " the devils" of paradis island. So that they can get to understand and know one another rather than conclusively deem them as devils. Since the future looked bleak all Eren was left with was a flood of memories and thoughts from the past calling him to what seemed to be now the only path, to accomplish his "calling". All in all when Eren says this happened because he’s an idiot, it is such an accurate description because it entails everything that happened from the beginning to the end of the story for his character and that I touched on a bit in those previous paragraphs. Eren is a depiction of the cruelty of Aot’s world , his hardships are a question, his end is an answer, a tragic normal one for any normal human being in his situation, and that other characters more notably Erwin are a clear more satisfying answer to the whole show. Finally when Ymir found the tree that she fell in, she was being hunted, chased by dogs, scared of death and in need of an undying body and a world free from death, which she obtained when she touched the "origin of all life" that is at least what Zeke said. However, with the final scene, we see an innocent child, accompanied by a companion in the form of a dog, approaching the hole in the tree where Eren's head was buried. The scene all around feels a lot more optimistic but is intentionally ambiguous. Does he also need an undying body, or something else? I like to think that he enters that tree with no malicious intent or peril, but instead curiosity and hope, with the same resolve of exploring and understanding new things that the survey corps embodied. Changing so ever slightly the cycle of mankind is meaningfull.

Adel

I don't know where you got that theory from but Eren is NOT stuck in a loop. The events that transpired only happened once. We the viewers just saw it all happen in real time but as soon as Eren died, the titan reign along with the paths and Ymir, everything ended. As long as the paths don't exist, neither does Eren (more accurately, Ymir). That is also why we saw a future without titans in the end credits of the finale; though the tree at the very end with the boy and his dog was open to interpretation by the creator.

cincin

Annie is on The Silent Voice. Adam hasn't been on camera.

Vendeholt Reacts

Will we ever get a chance to meet Adam and annie, without you we wouldn't have had this amazing journey 👏🏽👏🏽❤❤ thank you for what you do behind the camera.

Ruby

It is better. .

Skellyp

Haven’t seen this one, I’ll look it up.

Skellyp

Everyone does

Skellyp

Maybe that can lead into them reacting to the league cinematics!

Skellyp

So the subs we see in these reactions are not what they are seeing. Pretty sure they are watching the crunchy roll subs, but when editing the video, crunchyroll can’t be captured by recording so they have to use bootleg for us to watch with them. At least, that’s how it works with other reactors.

Skellyp

Not many people catch that the first watch through. And that scene only appears at the beginning of special one, and the beginning of the manga. It’s a shame it was left out when Witt did episode one. They also messed up the Mikasa tattoo thing. But not a big deal. I left a comment explaining it so hopefully they see it.

Skellyp

Yes, the movie version will be on crunchy roll soon I believe. Maybe you guys can watch the movie. It’s the last two specials edited together with more work done on them and an additional ending scene. My recommendation would be taking a little break, and rewatch the Movie with the new scene.

Skellyp

We enjoyed watching AOT! Stay with us for more!

Vendeholt Reacts

So one theory is that after Eren dies, his memories are sent back to Eren sleeping under the tree in episode one, and that’s the dream he’s waking up from that he can’t remember. So in a way, Eren is trapped in this loop, cursed to repeat it over and over. Also, the opening to the first special, when Mikasa says “see you later” and is reaching for Eren, in the manga (comic) that is shown in chapter 1 right before Eren wakes up under the tree. One more thing, some studies show a severed head is still conscious for a few seconds after separation from the body. Ty for watching this show, can’t wait for Vinland next!

Skellyp

So glad 😊

Vendeholt Reacts

Thank you for sharing it!

Vendeholt Reacts

Yes! Thanks and we are continuing to watch anime! 📺

Vendeholt Reacts

Would totally watch them react to this all over again in the English Dub

bailey clifford

Thank you so much for watching with us!

Vendeholt Reacts

Wow... I can't believe I watched a whole show with people who are like over 11,500 kilometers away from me!....That was such a fun journey!

ASA 609

The goal is 2 of vinland 2 of frieren and 2 of the third show. It's pretty hard getting them time to do this. But it's looking possible at least. This next week will be Your Name, a aot wrap up, and aot OP and ED reaction

Vendeholt Reacts

So, when are we getting Re-Reaction, Round 2 of this show ?

Ashutosh Sharma

What's the new schedule gonna be looking like

MaxShade18

Thank you for joining us!

Vendeholt Reacts

What a ride. Tears were shed. Thank y'all.

C

That's not an ending, lol. Just a fun version of the story for the fans to criticize the fans themselves.

stu

Do NOT give this person the founding titan

ChainChompBraden

its one of the best endings ever... I understand most people like happy endings where the boy gets the girl and they live happily ever after but this was more realistic... nooo the boy doesnt always get the girl... sometimes thze boy have to die... so that everyone else can live...

Richard Ramirez

For anyone questioning Eren, Answer this - Would you not to kill the world to save the person closest to you , your family?

Ashutosh Sharma

I was an AoT super fan, and I really hated the ending. I almost don't even watch the reaction to the final final episode because its ugh imo

Joshua Martinez

I think that’s the way Eren sees it, but I interpret this a bit different. I think it makes more sense to say that he can’t distinguish between what is the the Will of the Founding Titan/ Ymir and his actions. Because they’re all the one being now the Founder’s power means he can’t really distinguish between others memories and his own anymore. He says himself that he’s not free here.

Brendan Falvy

He needed it 💈

Vendeholt Reacts

Yes! A collage, keep watching!

Vendeholt Reacts

The power of the founding makes it so that you gain the memories and knowledge of the others and since it’s all connected through the paths and the founding titan ends with eren it’s ultimately him that makes all the decision of every other founding titan before him and every subject of Ymir we saw example of this when he convinced grisha to slaughter the royal family

Andy McLovin

Ruby

also thank you for pointing out the funniest thing about this ending; eren died with a bob haircut 😂

nick name

Basically in the end when the kid goes in the tree he’ll start the titan era again and gain the power of the titans from founder eren instead of Ymir now

Andy McLovin

we made it!! would love to see yall watch the movie exclusive ending scene with eren armin & mikasa (and quite a few easter eggs)

nick name

Now you gotta watch the other ending with the future Erin, Mikasa, and Armin at the theater

Lauren Mills

I havent finished watching, but please tell me they noticed the “see you later, eren”, the last memory eren saw before waking up in ep 1 :,)

mstra

You conquered Attack on Titan! Looking forward to the next show with you guys. Hopefully with better subtitles, the ones on this episode were a bit scuffed lol. 10/10 I sub for Damon's commentary

Kade

What a journey!!

StrayRonin

Hello, first of all, thank you for your reactions on this masterpiece that is Attack on Titan. Next, I wanted to suggest you watch the animated series Arcane by Riot Games (made by the French animation studio Fortiche). It only has two seasons of 18 episodes in total, but it's one of the best animated series out there. Its story, its characters, its writing, its music, its animation... Everything about this series is incredible; I'm 100% sure you'll all love it. Thank you.

Autromek

I learned something new again 🤯

Vy

Thank you so much! Glad you joined us on this journey. We love hearing that people enjoy watching us. ❤️❤️❤️

Vendeholt Reacts

i think they were watching on like a mainstream platform but for them to put the video over they need a recordable/downloadable version so it's probably from one of the free anime sites and that's just the version it happened to be

Modera

awesome

Modera

What a journey

Thomas Lopez

Thank you guys for giving this show a shot, hope it changed your opinion on anime and it opens the door to many great others. None will quite compete like AoT but I am excited to watch your reactions when I finish working

Loved watching!

Monae Laudat

They should watch a breakdown video of the series, they missed a lot of the stuff.

Francis Demonteverde

Folks, it was a huge pleasure re-watching Attack on Titan with you! I’d like to urge you to react to the YT video titled “Attack on Titan ENDING Explained! | AOT Finale Timeline,” from the channel Turtle Quirk, which explains the ending—and many other parts of the show—in detail. It’s a fairly long video (50 minutes), but it’s deep and fascinating! I’d love it if you could react to it. Congratulations on finishing this magnificent work!

André Carvalho

Me too! I can't believe it's over :,) It was great

u2b

Bruh I can't stop crying😭 What a ride. Y’all made this experience unforgettable Karl, Shelly, Tony, Carrie, Jill and Damon❤️

#Ilovelifebasically

Thank you so much for this amzing journey !

Mesbah Mohamady

What a journey. You guys remind me of when my mom watched aot for the first time (after me begging for a year) and it made me so happy. Whatever show you will be watching next I'm all in. <3

Ben Dalgliesh

We need a grandparents react or something…or we convince the parents to come back in a year and do a rewatch

Mim

Yea I was seeing how long it was by the last 30 minutes and definitely cut extra. I was hoping it would be under an hour.

Vendeholt Reacts

i`m gonna miss the reactions, cant believe tis over :(

ecofriendly

Edits got a little tight towards the end. Really wanted to see their reaction to the final montage of the warriors. Love that scene.

Chris Pope

As someone who just recently got to experience that after credits ending in the theatres, on the big screen, I would like to join this comment ☝🏽. I’d love to see their reaction to that ending!

Mim

We’ve waited 2000 years for this moment…just like Ymir… I’m not ready

Mim

Been here since day one and seeing this channel grow is nothing short of amazing! It's been a pleasure rewatching AOT with you guys!

Rex Tan

damn just like that its over

r

I’m curious to know which platform you’re watching on. Those chapter transitions indicate this is the Japanese dub of the Russian version, which is odd lol.

Chris Pope

Yes we will be releasing that within a week

Vendeholt Reacts

Ah, so it's finally here the time has come for the finale !!!!! it's been so fun watching these reactions salute to you all for making it to the end of attack on titan.

La.zeke

Can you guys watch a youtube video that explains everything that happened in in the story?????

Jay

shes right at the end. The rewatch is almost better than the first watch just because you get to see how much they were putting right in front of your face the entire time

Pulse rifles suck in pve

What about the real after credits ending… where the 3 of them come out of the place

AI Geek

Eren's headstone (written by Mikasa) says: "Here forever rest peacefully, my most beloved, my dear. 854" Also fun fact, Yuki Kaji (Eren's voice actor)'s child was the source of the crying baby that was being passed overhead

Lauren Crawford

Can you do a reaction or ranking of the openings and endings please?

Eternal Coke

That would be great I want that too.

Eternal Coke

Laughing at Mikasa kissing eren's dead head. Great reaction as always!!

Wayne

I would rewatch the first episode if I were you guys

Lundy toons

Can we get all openings and endings reaction

Scho Back

I wish they gave us more info on the kid at the end going into the tree, the cycle of violence is prob gonna start again
