ERMAWEEN 2021 Early Patron Suggestions

Hey everyone. Yes, it’s that time of the year again. The time where you guys get to choose who Erma crosses over with for the season of the spooky, strange, and macabre. Now from this announcement alone, this year’s going to be a little different. Just for going out of your way to support the Outcast Patreon, we figured to let you guys vote on the first 6 entries for this year’s 13 Days of Ermaween!

ALSO! To somewhat narrow down the suggestions this year, we’ll be doing a certain theme for 2021. This year will be themed after horror literature. Meaning books, comics, manga, etc. Leave a suggestion in the comment section.

READ THE RULES FIRST BEFORE MAKING A SUGGESTION IN THE COMMENTS

  1. The suggestion has to originate from literature (a book, novel, comic, manga, etc.)
  2. It has to be themed around horror or spooky tuff in general (ghosts, monsters, witches, demons, etc.)
  3. You can only make up to 3 suggestions. If you list anything more than that, the comment will not be read.
  4. No fan fiction or OCs.

We’ll be reading up the suggestions by the end of the week and start narrowing them down. By next week, we should have our first six entries. Soon after, we’ll then let everyone else on Tapas, Webtoons, and social media join in for the final 7 entries.

I just read Mieruko-chan and was amazed at how well the series is going. I honestly was looking for an Erma cameo hiding among the spirits and such. This would be great if picked.

Something from Seanan McGuire's "Ghost Roads" series?

BrokenThyme

"Fear Street", the Demon from "Insidious 1", Esther from "Orphan", "Rose the Hat" from "Doctor Sleep"...

Keiji~Chan

The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe, Parasyte by Hitoshi Iwaaki, and Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata

Supercharged (CEO of 9-Volt)

Here are some suggestions: 3 - The Tell-Tale Heart (by Edgar Allan Poe) 2 - Macbeth (Lots of good scenes from there, like Lady Macbeth or the three witches) 1 - Sisters (by Brian Evenson. It's not a super well known one, but it's a good one. It's a short story about some sisters who are not entirely human who decide to figure out what Halloween is, but I think they would make a fun friend for Erma. If nothing else, I highly recommend reading the short story. Really fun yet sufficiently spooky.)

1 - Souboutei Kowasubeshi (Souboutei Must Be Destroyed) - Erma taking art lessons from the Takoha (The Protagonist) using the evil water aliens as paints. 2 - MIeruko-chan - Erma scolding the spirits for bullying Mieruko, who per usual is pretending she doesn't see them while internally freaking out. Edit (missed the Literature Only rule) : 3 - Island of Giant Insects - Erma starts a bug collection on the Island of Giant Insects to the astonishment of the plane crash survivors.

1 - The demon Algaliarept from the series of novels in The Hollows series by Kim Harrison. 2 - Mercy Thompson (Coyote Shifter (think werewolf)) from the Mercy Thompson series of novels by Patricia Briggs. 3 - The witch Yuko from the xXx Holic manga by Clamp. (Honestly I could see Erma playing around in her stash of relics.)
