I think I can say this because you've all already seen these episodes. But that group of Grisha's friends we see that turns into titans ... that one with the beard is the titan who "eats" eren (when eren first transforms from inside a titans stomach in S1) ... and the 3-4 meter titan with black hair has been shown multiple times already throughout the show, maybe at least 3 times now with this episode. And we already know that Eren ate Grisha. SO .. IF the bearded titan ate Eren successfully he wouldve also consumed the titan Grisha/Eren had or if you will, technically ate Grisha(who was eaten by eren) himself? CRAZY! And .. if Grisha was home at the time, Dina probably would've eaten Grisha!? CRAZY!

so you guys keep saying Trost, but what you really mean, is Paridise. trost is just one of the cities with in the walls that are on Paridise island. Just like Shinganshina and Orval district are both cities as well. pardon my spelling. So "Trost" is in Paridise and Paridise is on an island that's off the coast of Marly, where Grisha (Erens dad) is from. Hopefully that's helpful with the geography of everything.

I asked and they seemed like they knew all the walls! They told me to tell you that theyโ€™re old and they misspeak a lot ๐Ÿ˜…

I'll try to explain: The people inside the walls are known as the Eldian race. They once dominated most of the continent they lived on and established the Eldian Empire, which ruled the world for nearly 2,000 years. This was possible because they were the only humans capable of transforming into Titans. About 100 years ago, a massive civil war broke out within the Eldian Empire. Nobles who possessed Titan powers fought among themselves, each trying to seize control. During the conflict, the nation of Marley managed to capture 7 of the 9 Titan shifters, ultimately winning the war. (So far in the story, we've seen 8 of the 9 Titan shifters.) With this victory, the Eldian Empire ceased to exist. King Karl Fritz, who controlled the Founding Titan at the time, chose to flee the continent with as many Eldians as he could to the island of Paradis. Using the Founding Titan's power, he created the three wallsโ€”Maria, Rose, and Sinaโ€”to protect them. He then erased the memories of everyone inside the walls, making them forget their past and the bloody history of their people. Hope this helps to explain the lore dump that came out of this episode. Its ALOT of information

i disagree with most of the comments, realising things you might have missed before is part of the journey. and Jill is cooking as always!!! two steps ahead

Marios Lato

I feel like maybe they should have watched series dubbed lol

willie kirts

i feel like who ever running their reactions should make them rewatch that episode and explain to them ... cause they kind of lost lol

Edwin

I love Jill so much! Sheโ€™s so me ๐Ÿคฃ

Hannah

The propaganda and politics in aot is what makes the series so great though from now on the series s4 and onwards do require a lot of piecing together and focus especially the ending which requires a big understanding of the show to get it.

TTB

Yup theres no loose ends in aot

TTB

omg someone please explain to them that "Trost" is just one district in the wall. we've seen Shinganshina (Eren's home), Trost (the 2nd time the colossal kicked the wall in), Stohess (where Eren and Annie fought) and Orvud (where Rod Reiss' titan was heading).

Charlie Metzger

"she went there for a reason. It wasn't a coincidence." ๐Ÿ‘€

Andrew Timmerman

I love Jillโ€™s facial expressions. Sheโ€™s such an icon lmaooo

I've seen this episode explained really well on a youtube comment, that I found so profound I thought I'd share it with you guys as well: "One thing that always striked me was Gross's speech at the wall about how people feel about this need for cruelty and horror when they live in relative peace. The dialogue between him and Grisha is almost a direct hit to the viewer and when Gross speaks, he looks directly at the camera, talking to us. Grisha's question about the pleasure on watching people being eaten by titans can also be asked to us, that watch the show. And it strikes me how we are so grossed out with Gross's speech on how he can reason and accept giving people to titans and then a little later we cheer for when he's thrown to the titan. In a way the show calls us out on our hypocrisy and the double standards the same way Gross creates this double standard for the Eldians and Marleyans"

Kyra Sun

"Maybe a short one" was definitely right. Faye had such a short appearance in the series but her death was the catalyst for much of the series. Grisha would not have become incentivized to be a patriot if she hadn't died. He wouldn't have met Carla, and Eren wouldn't have been born.

nick name

Why? When its time, they will know when it gets mentioned in that episode. Im sure they will remember then

Gabor Banasak

The reveal who the smiling titan is one of my favorites parts in the series. Not only did we know who it is but Eren does as well

Zadrac

Some of you should remind them the names of the three big/main walls ๐Ÿคฃ Those are kinda relevant in season 4 part 2
