The Night Parade Part 23 OUTTAKES
Added 2021-06-03 00:26:54 +0000 UTCSo here are some alternate pages from Part 23 that were originally going to be used between pages 2 and 4. Osamu would have had a long drawn out speech as he talks to Sam hoping they can make up. However, after doing all the inking, coloring, and shading, I reread his dialogue a few times and it felt way more like a soap opera than I originally intended. Also considering he and Sam had already been yucking it up, the dialogue felt redundant.
So these 2 were replaced with the 3rd page you see in the finished Part 23. While I had to scrap 2 finished pages make a new one, the scene needed to get to the point and be tightened a little more. It's a bit tedious, but if there's a way for the comic to read better to me, I'll do whatever it takes to make sure it does. And trust me, this isn't the first time I had to do that.
