2025-02-08 13:47:45 +0000 UTCThis episode is downright disturbing. The whole through-plot is Light casually stalking and trying to kill someone on the street in broad daylight. We all knew up until this point Light doesn't care who it is if they get in his way, but Naomi's death just felt so evil. Using the Death Note you can kill people rather impersonally from afar. The Death Note really makes you feel like God because you decide a person's fate. However, this episode tore the veal of being a God clean off. It shows Light conniving, stalking, and harassing a woman he doesn't know. He's not a God. Just another shitty human. This episode even Carrie said it he's straight evil, no better than a serial killer if that wasn't already obvious.
