Also fun fact about horse speeds thoroughbred horses (the ones you see in like the Kentucky derby) can maintain speeds of 60-78 km/hr or 38-44mph though the higher end of that doesn't last as long as it takes quite a bit of effort. The fastest horses (quarter horses, named as such because they can sprint at incredible speeds for about a quarter of a mile) can achieve about 88 km/hr so about 55mph. They are used in rodeos. I grew up barrel racing and 55 mph feels a lot different on the back of a horse than say in a car
