Meanwhile, the Firstborn, Fourth of the Seventh, and the First of the Fifth will all applaud the courage and initiative of the outsider queen to be the first to settle near the karnuq instead of by the King, a move of bravery and self-sacrifice none of them had yet considered. As expected of the Conduit’s queen mother!
Oh, and I guess she’s an oracle or something. Which is super important because we can talk to the Queen of All Bees now! If she and the oracle aren’t both busy being bees, that is.
Anyways!

2024-08-07 20:47:41 +0000 UTCI doubt the Oracles were locked up. Messengers are backed by the authority of the one giving them the messages. Even if they don't decide those messages it is pretty intimidating to order them around. My guess is they did want to deal with people like the mayor of Belissar's former town.

If Belissar knows what an oracle is then she is probably is the most important queen here as she has a direct connection the to God of bees. And now that she she is loving with the kurnuq she has giant bodyguards to protect her. I'm sure the chief know how important a oracle is and will care for her well, plus the oracle could tell the kurnuq what the god of bees what's them to do.

I understand why she's so scared but I hope she learns that she's safe here soon. She's settled in the karnuq village. She'll be the first queen there. I wonder how the karnuq will react to her Oracle status.
