The rest of the conclave is coming and they’re not going to underestimate him as badly as the advance force did. The rat people probably need to start challenging the tower to generate some DP for him. Or he slows down on expansion purifications and gets the bees to focus on expanding their hives and raising new queens. Right now he just lets the bees do their own thing, but he’s at a serious manpower disadvantage compared to the conclave and he needs to fill the gap somehow — either more bees or more allies.

I am pretty certain that was a "this is the official explanation for what we all know is actually a mass execution". If you actually consider the details. How are we sure they would even have a way to tell a tower they found was the one they were looking for? And even if they didn't know it was as far away as it was surely they knew there was a chance. Expeditions would logically expand in a circle outwards as they map out an area and expand. There is no way they would find a tower this far away in their generation.

2024-08-02 00:10:08 +0000 UTCThey sent out forces to try to find the tower in the first place to have it join the conclave and the Augur sent the home base the location of the tower. So at the Conclave will probably send more people, but I believe that recruitment was suppose to be the first option not conquering, if the general a few chapters back is the one leading this.

Belissar is too far away to justify going after for any reason except if there is some benefit to subjugating his tower. If you can actually usurp a tower then the people coming are nobles who want to escape the conclave's control. Basically the people least likely to give a crap.

2024-08-01 20:45:55 +0000 UTCThanks for the chapter! WAX FOR THE WAX THRONE, HONEY FOR THE BEE GOD, BURN THE INVADERS. All in all this was an amazing fight using everything the tower had to defeat invaders, good job it was a fantastic pay off. The wounded man and the augur seem to be the only ones who survived, good the wounded man deserves a chance at the very least, and the augur as much as I hate it leaving him alive to communicate with the other tower lords is the only chance we got for getting the tower lords to leave the bees alone, I'm sure I'm they wanted to a full force assault could take the tower.

I wonder what transformation the passenger bee got, she's clearly no longer a mundane bee, but a bee blessed by the god of bees. Lol. I love it when everything works together and becomes greater than their pieces. The humans are done for, ruckanos will probably die under a swarm of bees. The wyverns will probably be killed, the lancers were amazing. Wonderful timing. All that's left are the two humans in the tunnels. They'll be taken prisoner and interrogated. Then belissar will have to start preparing for the conclave. The hive of hives will prove itself superior!!!! Long love belissar, long live the Queens, long may the Hive of Hives reign supreme.
