2024-08-01 02:51:53 +0000 UTCThe shades are not stronger. The shades did not threaten the tower through raw power but using opponents that countered the dungeon's defenses. The shade that got the furthest was the bird shade and a single wyvern was implied to rival it. But the bird shade also became helpless as the tower updated to deal with it. These people challenged a tower with no preparation to actually fight it.

So is it that this makes the bees look strong? Or is it that individual non-champion people are actually incredibly weak?

These idiots think they'll be able to just brute force their way through and kill belissar, they will fail. I'm surprised the god of fire didn't smite them for invoking their name against one of their champions. Their screams and deaths will be glorious. The lancers haven't acted yet, they'll probably be able to pierce the shield but they'll be vulnerable after. If they target the captain and ruckanos the rest would fall into chaos, perhaps even surrending. Idk what belissar would do with prisoners tho, might just execute them to make up for the fallen bees. A life for a life, seems even to me. Leaving just the augur, and that one human that's safe guarding the normal bees. The augur can be kept for information and the last should be fine with living under belissar's rule.
