…it’s a drone, who are useless, but is also a bee. W-What do we do? Do we accept it as a bee or are we even more upset that any bee could be as useless as a drone? What do drones even do, anyways? Why do queens even lay drone eggs in the first place?
…well, the Fourth of the Seventh has decided to accept him, so I guess we’ll go with that. I guess we’ll, um, just have to see if a drone has any use whatsoever…

2024-05-16 21:02:02 +0000 UTCThank you for the chapter. Loved it. Okay, 4th of 7th saved the extra drone. Welp, we'll have to find work for him. Gotta be something he can do. So what skills does he have. No stinger, but he can fly. And I read online that drones have the larger eyes than the workers so there might be some possibilities there. They also struggle to collect any nectar. I doubt we need to worry about a short lifespan because they're monster bees. Can drones be evolved into anything? Like obviously not yet but there might be some options in the future. Like maybe increased chances of cross breeding hives. Like a burning drone mating with a digger queen could get something like magma queens. Like that'd probably be a 1% chance thing but it makes some kinda sense. Now hives do actually keep some drones around waiting for if a new queen will be born, they're typically cared for by the workers and just wait for if they are needed. Now one of the things they do in real life is they help regulate the temperature of hives with their wings. Ensuring air travels and cools the hive. Now with these skills, what can this drone do. They can fly, have good eyes, and are effectively defenseless and need aid surviving. Lol. I think they would be great as part of the scouting teams. They can see new flowers and lead workers to them. Other than that, is there any reason the drone can't learn to use the lightning bees magic?
