If the tower is a sub dimension? Or is the tower physical huge? Because if it's the first then I don't think the volcano is a problem because it will not be linked to a thermal duct. If it's the second then there may be a problem with it melting into other rooms or overflowing with magma. Plus fire resistant bees may allow them to be more resistant to other aspects of fire like smoke and ash.

2024-05-10 01:19:52 +0000 UTCI would argue that since we're talking about magic, "Fire resistance" applies only to things with Fire type mana, and mana seems to do a lot of heavy lifting in this world.

A fairly large percentage of the things that can hurt you in this universe fall under the definition of combustion, automatically giving *all* bees resistance to them is a no-brainer even if there wasn't a fire queen to synergize with.

2024-05-09 20:30:19 +0000 UTCHuh, not the choice I was expecting but belissar reasoning is sound. Thanks for the chapter, loved it. The fire spout is common so belissar probably will see it again. And the honey/wax are already flammable so enhancing then isn't fully necessary. Getting the fire resistance and the mini volcano works. The hunger doesn't know what's coming. Belissar does need a new room option Soon tho, can't leave 3rd of 6th hanging. Lol. I don't think such a room would be directly between the exit and the flower meadow battle room. Maybe placing it to the side of the meadow and switching the tunnel connection before purifications? That could work. Or place them as a last line of defense between the core and the apiary? Most of the rooms so far seem based on real places, I wonder what a fire based room would be? Like maybe a perpetually burning forest? Or some lava plains? Other than that all I'm coming up with is a room dedicated to blacksmith, but that doesn't really suit the bees, ya know? If 3rd of 6th makes a new queen, will she also be a burning queen or will she start as a "normal" monster bee queen? I imagine any changed bee queen would produce more queens of the same type, but perhaps not? Either way, loved the chapter can't wait for the next one.
