BD - Chapter 110 - The Wise Bee-cision? (Removed for KU)
Added 2024-05-02 20:05:01 +0000 UTCAuthor’s Note:
At first, I didn’t think stingless bees would work well as a monster specifically. Like, on the one hand, they straight up engage in kamikaze attrition warfare with each other (some species will wage war with other hives by crashing workers together in tackles that often lead to the death of both tackler and tackle, the war ends when one hive runs out of bees), so they got the spirit, but like, will bee tackles work on shades? And the normal monster bees could do that too if they wanted to, so where’s the advantage to justify making them a separate monster choice? But then I learned about one species that also mummifies intruding beetles by coating them in wax and propolis. From Australia, of course. And I was like, that’ll do.
And then Belissar went and ignored the option! Sigh, whatever. Gardeners are cool too, I guess. I should, like, stop thinking of cool queen options, huh? That’s two Belissar’s gone and skipped!
Anyways!
Has Belissar made the right decision? What impact will gardeners have on the Tower? Will Belissar ever pick one of the cool queen options? Tune in next time, to find out!

Oh, I forgot to mention but I saw a video about how bees like to play with small balls. They're not all work, they play too. Do with that I knowledge as you will. Lol

Given that that turtle shade spend ages in the dirt tunnel, completely entombing it would probably be doable. Even if you are incredible strong, at some point the weight becomes too much and joints don't like being clogged either.

Apparently, Japanese bees and hornets have at this point come to a non-aggression agreement, now that they both know the bees have an effective counter. The bees will now release "I see you" pheromones whenever they spot a hornet, and the hornet will back off since it knows it will die if it tries anything.

2024-05-02 21:25:05 +0000 UTCYay, loved the chapter. Thank you for writing it. New monster bees! The stingless queen is an interesting choice but I feel like they'd end up losing lots of soldiers just to mummify one shade. While an interesting idea they probably wouldn't "bee" to effective. Lol. Tho, a burning or gravillion stingless bee would be interesting. So maybe as a future option when belissar has more rooms available. The bee Gardeners are fascinating. They'll probably massively help in the tower and outside of it. Maybe even in the tunnels since they can boost plant growth. Could we have some Mana mushrooms coming soon? Lol. Maybe. The captains are an acceptable evolution but the queens do seen to handle that job currently. They could be useful for long range scouting tho. Put them in charge of scouting parties with a communer for reporting back. They could also lead patrols around the area to spot any more people popping out of the ground or an invasion by the humans. I do believe belissar has made the best choice for the current situation. Tho saving for room slots and a new room option would probably be a smart next choice. Can't wait for tomorrow's chapter. Love this story.

2024-05-02 20:44:56 +0000 UTCI think Belissar made a good Choice, and besides once he gets his Fire bees, There’s nothing to say that he Hot wax trap if the different types of bees if their wax have different properties, like the Digga bees wax is Harder than stone then Imagine that stone like wax being melted and being poured and someone Causing bird damage and limiting There in movability.

2024-05-02 20:40:03 +0000 UTCIf we talk about strange bee defenses, don't forget the Japanese Bees that will roast invading hornets alive. The hornets are immune to the bee's stingers, so the bees cuddle up to them in a big bee ball and start vibrating to produce heat. Up to 46 degrees Celsius or 115 degrees Fahrenheit. This is leathal for the hornets, but just about survivable for the bees.

2024-05-02 20:33:43 +0000 UTCThe cool queen options are just foreshadowing the future greatness of the hive of hives, and the diversity of bees that will call it home. Keep 'em coming.
