BD - Chapter 103 - Rapid Bee-sponse (Removed for KU)
Added 2024-04-18 20:05:01 +0000 UTCAuthor’s Note:
Thanks to TheLostGolem for letting me know about propolis, aka bee glue. Like, bee crafting is so much easier now that we know bees can already make their own glue. Although apparently they do need like, tree sap or resin or pine cones or something to do it…but these are monster bees! They just substitute mana for anything they don’t have access to! Yay magic! Although, I guess the Fourth of the Seventh does live in trees so her hive probably does have access to all that…so, yay bees! They’re magical even without the magic!
Oh, right, we’re supposed to be worried about the shade, or something. Meh, I got distracted by the bees. Priorities. We’ll go back to being scared next time, or something.
Anyways!
Can Belissar, the bees, and the karnuq stop this sudden assault? Will Chief Rohsuak be able to help? Will the Fourth of the Seventh teach everyone the real bee magic? Tune in next time, to find out!

Hopefully the corruption never discovers the varroa destructor mite... those things are responsible for the death of so many bee colonies....

2024-04-18 23:19:35 +0000 UTCInterestly enough, bee venom is actually more venomous than rattlesnake venom. It's just delivered in such a smaller dose that it's not deadly to us.

2024-04-18 23:12:38 +0000 UTCI'm just waiting for the bees to realize that they can organize a fire affinity hive and burn the invaders by dumping fire honey on them.

2024-04-18 20:30:12 +0000 UTCStep 1: Turn the turtle on it's back. Step 2: Make a hole in the ground under it's shell. Step 3: Lit a fire in the hole. Step 4: Turtle Soup. .... Are shades edible?

2024-04-18 20:27:18 +0000 UTCThis actually would be a pretty horrible match up for the bees. they use the death by a thousand cuts strategy which is a lot less effective when the enemy has only a small surface area to target. and I imagine this thing probably is packing poison resistance too.

That tail sound nasty. Lol. Maybe they can drop maddening honey trays from above on it? Can't wait to see what you come up with next. Thanks for writing.
