On the one hand, it felt a bit early to me for the First of the Fifth to have this revelation. On the other hand, there’s no real avoiding it when the King’s treatment of the Firstborn after the battle is just that different from anything she would ever expect. Even she can’t justify all that within her previous perception. Plus, the situation with her daughter would be a bit shocking too. So here we are.

2024-01-10 22:53:34 +0000 UTCI personally prefer comedic misunderstandings be solved sooner rather than later. I can see the appeal in them, but it was pretty quickly turning into the First of the Fifth's entire personality, as it tends to do in many series that draw them out for too long.
