Well they can be assured they do not have to worry that the tower lords would try to harm them. because there is a 100% chance the tower lords would try to harm them. The tower lords knowing magic before becoming tower lords speaks against their capabilities. That means they had a head start. Of course you knew that you untrustworthy author.
