...so it turns out actual bee queens have like, zero authority in their own hives. Decisions are made communally by the workers, or something. But I like, find that out after I started the novel, so, um, oops? They're, um, magic bees so that somehow means absolute monarchy?
...do we need to have a workers' revolution in the future? Belissar, you better change your title real quick. You wouldn't want to be labeled a...reactionar-bee.

2023-10-07 06:57:40 +0000 UTCHonestly the best way to think of eusocial insect Queens is if you think of the whole colony as one organism they are basically a vital organ and the colony more or less treats them like that as when they die they colony will slowly die for some species for otherspecies they start a Battle Royale to decide the next Queen
