Well, to be fair, if she had gone for it her Commander would have done something about it so it'd have been fine, though the amount of sighs heaved would have increased. But I've spent the whole novel trying to avoid having her Commander immediately solve all her problems so good job maintaining narrative and tonal consistency, Seero!
So emotional growth and personal freedom was the correct choice this time! Good job!
