(Removed for KU) TtOW! - Chapter 176 - Learning From the Enemy

Author’s Note:

I’m sorry, Seero, but it is the fate of all NSLICE units to end up as the most competent person in the room. Well, I say that, but you were probably the most competent person in the room since you arrived in it. Such are the limits of those of us who remain as pure meatbags.

But hey, you got Gravity Magic! I bet you can do all sorts of cool things with that!

Anyways!

What can NSLICE-00P do with the ability to manipulate gravitational fields? Can she complete this…‘in-progress’ magic circle? Will she identify the emotion this scroll makes her feel? Tune in next time, to find out!

Mission clarify was a success!

Ah, guess that was a bit confusing, I added a line to clarify. She didn't actually cast the Fire and Water spell, but utilized the principles gleaned from it to form a new spell with different elements, in order to test if she had identified the principles correctly.

Thanks for the chapter!

Hmmmm, why does fire and water make sand? And then when she gets the level up it is for wind and earth? Me thinks there is a mistake there somewhere? #terminatemistakes 😋

Thanks for the chapter!

Good point. I also think Gravity Magic as a concept suffers from having to be different from Force Magic/Telekinesis, even though they are basically the same thing. I have seen writers use Force Vectors as a very powerful weapon, and they are basically just multiple powerful gravitational pulls activated at the same time and in different directions.

There is one thing I have allways wondered about: Why is the only offensive use of Gravity magic people seem to know the act of INCREASING gravity? Sure, in reality that could be a pretty big problem for people. But in a world were people have Stats and are more likely than not to have several times the physical strength of a normal person? Ther is pretty much no point in doubling the effect of Gravity on a person. rather, the increased weight might actually give them more grip on the ground, increasing their mobility. On the other hand, NEGATING gavity on a target? Now that would be devestating! The moment gravity stops counteracting the centrifugal force caused by the earths rotation? The target would immediately get flung into outer space. And even if its just a reduction of the gravitational force on the target, their movement would still be extremely impaired, because every single step can carry them meters into the air. It would be like trying to run on the moon.
