(Removed for KU) TtOW! - Chapter 172 - Call of Termination: Modern Warfare
Added 2023-06-03 20:05:01 +0000 UTCAuthor's Note:
Drone strikes, here we come!
Lilussees is deeply regretting her magic practice, now watching Snuan get to command drones from the comfort of the monster hangar.
And Anualë...is actually not that concerned. Airships and other means of air combat are already things here, after all. Golem command is also already a thing, so combat through minions while the master remains safe also has precedent.
Of course, NSLICE-00P hasn't actually applied dungeon-supplied mass-production to the concept just yet...
Anyways!
What's next on Melion's research list? How will the world respond to the introduction of drone warfare? Should Anualë be worried about any of this? Tune in next time, to find out!

Drones could be mobile relais-stations for medium range communication. Stornger Spells seems to be a question of the quality of the circle and the core of the unit. This could be upgradable.

2023-06-04 21:13:14 +0000 UTCOnly to a degree. There are two reasons. At least at the moment, the NSLICE Network has far from sufficient coverage to let the Drones go too far without leaving some as relays, which IS a rather limiting factor. Secondly, the Drones are limited in power. The Skills a Drone operator will get are likely only related to controling and using teh Drones more effectively and to use more at once. At some point, teh Drones simply won't be strong enough to kill targets of sufficiently high levels, even if there are a lot of Drones.

2023-06-04 12:53:11 +0000 UTCOh, she will get worried once 00P starts mass production... And I kinda hope that Snuan focuses on mental Skills and Golem contro Skills until she can easily control several drones all on her own. The funny thing is, even if she can only perfectly control ten or twenty Drones at once, she can easily assign a squadron to each one that perfectly copies what the lead drone does, multiplying how many frones she can control. And that isn't even all. I can very easily imagine even the non-drone focused Elite units carrying a suite of drones around just in case they come in handy since they make for great scouts, kamikaze traps, or simply additional annoyances in fights that enemies have to keep track of.

2023-06-04 11:27:09 +0000 UTCShe experimented with drones with different circles. A NSLICE-Airforce could be 1 flying group (100+ flying squadrones) per circle-type to be prepared. And a Reserve Command.

2023-06-03 21:28:44 +0000 UTCOh I'm sure Anualë isn't worried about NSLICE-00P having ten drones... or 50... ok a hundred is maybe a bit much... uhh, how can you control 500 at the same time?.. oh she has passed 1000 already?.. please make it stoooop

2023-06-03 20:29:18 +0000 UTCHave you thought about adding a wheel with different spells on it to the drones? Then, they wouldn't only have one spell to use, but any spell a situation calls for. Also, maybe have the drones combine into other forms, like a certain shows vehicles into a stronger machine. I'd say ritual magic, but that's honestly no different than mana batteries. Really, Lilli should gain skills or change her class and evolution type to a drone commander one. She could then never leave the hangar but still level up and sleep in between needing to be called upon.
