Ateia is of noble blood, I believe. Even more pure than the emperor, I think. If she wanted to, she could claim the throne. This is if I'm not completely off the mark.

2023-04-19 22:57:58 +0000 UTCThis is a woman who is honestly still a decently low level, is still young and can wipe out entire legions by herself and the senators are trying to fucking poke her with a stick while still in terminating range?!??!? There are three scenarios this can go 1- You kill her and disable the threat but lose most of your military 2- You attack her, you lose most of your military and she escapes. She later returns at a high level and terminates you. 3- She wins and she terminates you. Those are honestly horrible odds
