So I have an announcement for the Faceless Minion! Volume 2 editing is coming along, to the point that I’m setting a tentative release date. I am aiming to release it on April 7th. As such, this is the two week stub warning for Royal Road and Scribblehub. If you want to read Volume 2 for free, please do so sooner rather than later. The relevant chapters are Chapter 50 through Chapter 93.6, also including Interlue 109.3 and Variant Story Chapters 2 and 3. This includes NSLICE-00P’s first ever introduction, by the way!

As before, the April 7th date is the minimum earliest date. So could release later if things go wrong, but won’t release before then to give time for the binges.

Now back to this story…

So the exact numbers for NSLICE-00P’s XP reduction, since I didn’t feel Melion shouldn’t have this much detail: After she passes level 100, anything fifty levels or more lower than her will give 1 XP, anything a hundred levels or more lower will not give XP. This applies to both Personal and Dungeon level, but as per all other XP calculations applies to each of them separately from the other. Note that again, this only applies to her getting XP from personal kills outside of Dungeon Field range. Mana absorption from the Dungeon field, XP from the Otter Burrow, and Dungeon XP from things dying within her Dungeon Field are unaffected.

Essentially, 00P getting XP like a person == subject to XP reduction. 00P getting XP like a dungeon == not subject to XP reduction.

Because otherwise the Empire would 100% have slime farms for infinite XP grinding lol. Which…actually why don’t they do that to get to 100…

Skills are as important as levels? What’s that? After they train up the skills? Um…

Oh I know! Historical disaster when the slimes got out of hand makes that very risky! Life finds a way, they were so preoccupied with if they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should sort of deal! Because slimes are super adaptive so if you murder thousands of them over time they eventually evolve a way to not get murdered! And other monsters take more effort to tame and raise then they do to just hunt! Something something the Aesdes can’t be deceived as well!

…LitRPGs definitely don’t present lots of loopholes that would 100% be exploited by any society that lives in one. Because RPG gamers definitely don’t exploit every loophole they can find for infinite XP. Please ignore my 1000+ turn Fire Emblem save, I definitely didn’t just have Ana grind money off of infinitely spawning reinforcements for hours on end.
