Some mental games.
I’ve been researching the romanticism and pre-raphaelite movement lately and got kinda stuck on John Everett Millais. Wanted to take on the way his brushstrokes made the whole piece, have life of its own and as plane a sit should be, look like it keeps on moving.
Of course I had to include some of the characteristics of the movements: the nature, the alternate approach to repeated subjects and just be direct with it. When im doing something like this I just imagine all the needs for the piece and look for different ways to include it without being disruptive.
