Future stream announcement
Added 2017-06-16 07:13:26 +0000 UTCA heads-up for those still watching this space: Tomorrow night I’ll try to do a stream. It should start at around 10:30 PM AST, though in reality it’ll probably be a bit later, depending on how long it takes before grandma goes to sleep (because privacy issues are the reason I’m nocturnal in the first place).
Pic will be an owed commission—depending on how I feel about the now-months-old sketch I’ll either edit it a tad or redraw it completely, but plan is to start the inking process. There might be a personal sketch before then, but most likely it'll just be warm-ups.
I don’t want the month to end without me finishing at least a few commissions and I’m really doubting the chances of the BIOS update I need being released anytime soon, so fuck it—if the rig crashes mid-stream, I’ll just resume where I left off. MyPaint’s backup system worked well on the laptop so hopefully it’ll work just as well here (even though the crashes here are of a nastier sort).
However, if the rig crashes more than twice while I’m streaming, the stream is over and the hiatus will resume. Issues seem to be related to memory compatibility and my canvases tend to use a lot, so I'd rather not stress the rig too much before it's fixed and risk data corruption. Having the issues happen live should be proof enough that I have valid reason for not working on these, at any rate (though I'd rather they not happen in the first place).
