I used to have one of those rectangular hand held magnifiers, glass lens, many decades old. The handle got plastic rot though so was chucked.

2024-08-27 17:21:38 +0000 UTCI have one of those "antique" heavy desk magnifiers with fluorescent 9 inch tube. Glass lens, yes! I had to change the bulb once in 40 years.
