Wowser - another 12 months have zoomed past! 3 new special episodes of our favourite (at times) TV show, 27 brand new instalments of RoD and about 457 freshly-squeezed Big Finish boxsets. Madness.
This has undoubtedly been the biggest and best period in the history of Review of Death, between the continued support from you - our beloved Official RoDers and RoDers of Rassilon - and the bonus content we've provided in return, a run of podcasts produced and recorded between New Zealand and England, the inaugural RoDies (more on that in a sec), another live show, a regeneration (or two), a special Twitch-streamed RoD for Pickaxe's Showcase Week and finally hitting our stride with interviews (feat. Chris Chapman, Al Dewar, Matthew Jacobs and Vanessa Yuille).
So, what does 2023 have in store for the podcast? Well, there's the small matter of Billy moving to New Zealand for at least 12 months from March, BUT, we have big plans. The show will continue to look and sound great and we're confident we won't have to change things up too much in terms of the format. Of course, the dynamic will be different, but RoD survived the lockdown and the Boys are confident that the podcast will continue grow heading into Doctor Who's 60th anniversary year.
In the immediate future, here's what RoD's calendar looks like for the first month and a bit of 2023;
After all that, the next big project will be the 2023 RoDies, which we'll start organising properly in the New Year, probably with a slightly truncated set of awards, given we only had three new TV adventures in 2022.
We hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and you have a brilliant New Year, however you celebrate it! Here's to 2023 - a bold new 12 month period where literally anything could happen!
All the best,
- RoD
