I hope everything is going wonderfully in the Northern Hemisphere - I have reached Charleston on the west coast of New Zealand’s South Island, right by the sea. Would’ve been a perfect venue to watch the Easter special!
I hope you enjoyed the last two RoDs - they’re defo two of my favourites we’ve produced this year, up there with the RoDies and the ‘Eve of the Daleks’ review. Johnny is doing a fabulous job in my absence and everyone has really seemed to enjoy having him drop in for this stretch of episodes! Speaking of, you have one more instalment with Johnny coming next Thursday as himself and Matt talk about ‘Delta and the Bannermen’! I’m totally okay missing that one, I have to say! Matt is currently trying to convince Johnny to come in full Sylv cosplay, so we’ll have to see if he’s feeling up to it.
Once I’m back from NZ, we’ll get right back on that wagon and press on with RoD as nature intended. Not sure exactly what you’ll see next as we have lots of ideas, but you’ll find out soon enough! A Season 18 chat is certainly on the cards though. It might be a great opportunity to finally review ‘State of Decay’, which we were once very close to screening at a Bram Stoker festival in Dublin (Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss were in attendance showing the first episode of their Dracula adaptation and I’m certain they wouldn’t have been able to help themselves and would’ve popped in).
We also have an interview (or three) to arrange which have also been in the pipeline for yonks. One has been the subject of an ongoing negotiation since the start of the year, but we live in hope!
