Hello-hello-hello, welcome to the show!

It’s been a while since our last catch-up so let’s give you the skinny on what’s been going down in Groovetown!

Firstly, thanks for the response to our last couple of episodes, the 2021 RoDies and our ‘Warriors of the Deep’ review/burial. The RoDies was a massive departure for RoD and I think it went really well. Can’t wait to do it again next year! And ‘Warriors’ felt like an old fashioned rant-along so nothing wrong there! 😂

Next week’s RoD will be a double-bill critique of ‘Love & Monsters’ and ‘Blink’! Can’t wait to jump into those stories! Matt has already done his homework and he’s buzzing to share his thoughts.

BUT BEFORE THAT (recording wise anyway), Matt and Johnny-jonboy Toffolo are off to the bloody University of Oxford to do a talk with their Doctor Who society this week! Jammy gits! Anyway, we’ll be releasing that as a Patreon-exclusive called The Review of Death on Töur, which will be the umbrella title for our out-of-studio excursions from now on. Expect that to drop at some point in the next week or so!

Work is starting to pick up big time for me, so Matt and I are trying to use any available time to record RoD content! We’re back in the studio tomorrow evening and we’ll look to do some bulk bits and bobs as I’m due to fly to New Zealand for a month in April (which means I probably won’t be around to do an in-person review of the Easter special). I’m also currently in email comms with TWO ACTUAL DOCTOR WHOS (well, one Doctor Who and an agent) with an aim to try and get both on the show, so let’s see where that goes!

Hope everyone is holding up well with storms battering the UK at the moment!
