Howdy y'all!
It's almost the end of the year. How about that, eh? I, for one, am exhausted. Genuinely. Between Christmas plans, New Years plans, work, socialising and Doctor Who I'm damn near dead.
One thing that doesn't get me all tense and quick to moan is the Review of Death. I'm stunned at how little it takes out of me. It's always up there in my top ten list of priorities all the time. Whether it's social media posts, avidly refreshing the podcast charts, thinking ahead to 2022 and thinking about what cool things lie ahead - it's always buzzing away in my head. But it never drains me. I'm too proud of us and I enjoy hearing your responses so much that I'm in a consistent state of "Pretty Bloody Good-ness" when RoD stares me in the face. Winking at me.
One thing I think about a lot is the Patreon and how I can thank you all appropriately for your support. I think about you all a lot, separate from actually doing the reviews and the recordings. Because we've attracted a community of individuals who enjoy our work so much that they're willing to put towards the project. And that's mental. Thank you so much.
We're saving up your pledges so we can go all out next year. We predict a lot of it will go towards travel and accommodation fees when we book guests. Speaking of, I was being totally serious in the last Flux review when I said we have had a Doctor agree to appear on the podcast. They're super down for it and we'll work out dates in January.
Please enjoy a snippet of cut action from our recording of episode 8, 'War of the Sontarans'.
