Illustrated Dev Diary, October 29th, 2021
Added 2021-10-29 12:09:57 +0000 UTCWhen I wrote this story some years ago, I knew there are some scenes that would stand out and I had to put a lot of work into getting it right when I got to that part.
Let me tell you, there's something extremely satisfying about finally being able to render the scenes I've been visualizing in my head for so long, and then getting the goosebumps I had hoped for when looking at the completed version.
In other words, I've been very much in the zone this week, bumping story renders up to 884, and animation frames to 6,364. And with that, I've also completed (with the exception of some animations) the second of the three parts that make up chapter 7.
I've been asked a lot lately when the release date is, and honestly I don't know. We're not quite there yet, but getting there fast. This third part contains some huge scenes and they are always a bit more time consuming to do. This is also shaping up to be probably the biggest update yet. But I'll keep grinding the renders and the instant I'm comfortable in giving a release date, I'll do that. Keep reading these dev diaries, and you'll be the first to know.
For comparison, this is the development period of the story so far:
chapter 1: 10 weeks
chapter 2: 8 weeks
chapter 3: 9 weeks
chapter 4, part 1: 10 weeks
chapter 4, part 2: 12 weeks
chapter 5: 18 weeks
chapter 6: 18 weeks
chapter 7 (so far): 8 weeks
Anyway, I'm back to my dev cellar. Have a nice Halloween weekend, and stay safe out there.

Yeah it's definitely emotional frustration from MC. He might feel like he let her down...

2021-11-03 01:05:58 +0000 UTCThe broken glass I am more than certain is MC blaming himself that she fell due to him not being able to hold on longer, be stronger for her and pull her up himself. I've done the very same thing to mirrors and walls out of frustration. I'm not a violent person either, but emotions of despair and helplessness come out in so many ways. "I should've done this, I could've done that, why didn't I do this, what if I had done that?"

Some of these games warn about not playing when in a "dark" place, but honestly they've been helping me through. P.S. Acting lessons also a literary master piece.

2021-10-29 20:33:24 +0000 UTCIts one of the few times when a release of a vn is something im more than happy to wait for so that it is delivered right.. given the subject matter looming i honestly dont know how you cope.. the shattered mirror screenshot is somewhat personal to myself too from the past and elements of the same condition i too feel that cece suffers with.. it was the hardest and most potent read i had gone through surpassing even the horror that was acting lessons' climax.. you have my unlimited respect and praise for delivering on what for you especially is such a heart wrenching subject.. thankyou for having the strength to follow it through and giving myself a means to express my own lack of words on the subject to those i love and care for..
