Dev Diary. 26th of June, 2020
Added 2020-06-26 12:09:43 +0000 UTCTime for that weekly update again. :)
Chapter 3 is currently at 586 still renders and 1570 animated frames. By comparison, Chapter 1 and 2 both had around 650 renders, so this will be bigger by the time it's done.
Mainly, what remains for chapter 3 is:
- 1 big scene
- 2 medium/big scenes
- phone scripting
- testing/proof-reading
I wanted to give you a release date today, but unfortunately I'm unable to.
The main reason is that I just started rendering a complex scene yesterday, and those renders took 3 times longer than anything I've ever done before. Because of that, it's a bit hard to predict an exact date right now. At least until I've done test renders for the remaining scenes.
I've also hit kind of a snag in the summer heat we've been getting, where my computer is uncomfortably hot, and I've had to ease off on the renders for a few hours a day.
But it will be a July release, and a Friday. So that narrows it down to a few possible dates at least.
