Meesh and Jay Naylor had a theory about why it was happening. It might be temporary, too, because Patreon shifted their billing to the UK, supposedly to allow adult entertainment to continue to be allowed here, but banks with credit and debit cards may now flag those random UK charges as suspicious. PayPal doesn't seem to have been affected at all.
