As what Vagus even stated in the previous couple of pages, Vagus is at that point where he doesn't even care about what would've happened to him even to the point of possibly dying by his father's hand. Anything is better than being forever under his father's scorn and mercy. Regardless, it's not gonna be a good outcome for him. I think of this as two choices that Vagus is willing to accept, either his parents accept the fact that he has grown stronger and can be his own person (which is unlikely given what we know about them so far), or he dies in the fruitless attempt.

2025-05-14 01:19:00 +0000 UTCIt'll be a valiant effort on his part, but we all know, it won't amount to anything, unless by some miracle this fight actually gets Gaius to finally see that Vagus isn't the coward he was making him out to be, and to respect that Vagus is willing to throw hands with him, like Mycaelis did in the past, and not shy away from physcial confrontations.
