If she claimed she does care about Vagus or doesn't want to lose him. That sure is a really messed up way to show it. I'm kinda scared for Vagus now, one of the worst things his father would do to his own son is have him exiled or forcefully bound and brutally punished for his behavior and for Mycaelis. At least, I think he'd go that far. There's no surprises to how low Gaius can go as a father

2025-02-24 23:23:15 +0000 UTCLast comment (I think), I know that Vagus having to experience all of this is horrible, but in a strange way it's going to be for the better because he now knows that both of his parents don't care and are abusive. To undo a cyclical chain of abuse, YOU need to be the one to break that chain and move forward. Nobody else. It's a huge responsibility and burden, but one thing I've learned from watching some therapists online is that with regards to trauma and abuse, the way to heal and move forward is to not only tackle the problem head on, but to also help to make sure that the cycle does NOT repeat itself. Vagus IS taking those steps! This is merely a backslide/temporary step backwards towards that long term goal! If I was in Leon's shoes (or his dad), I would tell Vagus and reaffirm to him that we are here to help, and we will give you whatever space you need or help you need. Don't try and talk him down; let him get the anger out! He's been boiling this anger up for YEARS.

Honestly that might be better because while it deeply hurts, at least he KNOWS it rather than hangs on to the toxic relationship for years because Divina would bait him back into the toxic dynamic like I sometimes see IRL in toxic relationships or familial dynamics.
