Just like Vagus said in the Q&A, Mycaelis is a broken child. The power of the expectant parents was too much for Mycaelis to handle. And after losing them, and the other set of events that happened because of him, he realized that how much he couldn't live up to anything they had tried to drill into his head. He really is a broken soul, and is in need of some much needed healing.
