I would say the more elaborate it is, the more it would strain him, kinda like the magic point system you would see in games. Theseus is really strong, but I don't think we should reveal why Miranda is the captain now. I think Sly will answer it with the story.

First...since Theseus' blades are made of water and you said he could manipulate the size, can help also change the shape? And how is it influenced? Does it require more water in the vicinity or is there a limitation? If it's in the vicinity...does he basically have limited control over water? Next is...how strong is Theseus...is Miranda actually stronger than him or is she in command because she is smarter overall and can navigate? Finally...I really like the design, I didn't mention it before, but I like the bipedial design for samurott~
