Development update July 2024

The aforementioned issues with my kitchen still haven't been resolved, and I'm still holed up in my room dreading anything that requires using the mouse.

Progress has been fine, I had to miss out on four days because of real-life stuff. I'm sorry that I've only been writing for the past month because I really have nothing to show for it other than my word, but I promise, it's fine.

Wallpapers are a victim of the same issue, I should hopefully be able to get back to rendering soon, and when I can, the first thing I'll do is the wallpapers, then I have a lot of actual game rendering to catch up on. Truthfully I'm starting to burn out a little on writing so whenever I can get back to rendering that should be a good thing. Regardless, I imagine if I were to continue writing until the episode is finished, I could do that this month. That should give you an idea of how far we are in the script department. We'll see how long it takes for me to regain access to my typical workstation.

I'm writing lewd stuff right now and I hate it. Writing smut has got to be one of the most miserable experiences as an AVN dev. I'm sure a lot of writers enjoy it, but most other devs I talk to agree. Anyway, this update is very setup and payoff-heavy, which means I'm squeezing the lewd stuff between the story stuff. The update will have 6 lewd scenes, four of them in quite rapid succession. Hell, the one I've only just got to right now is the first one of the update. After these 4 scenes, I can get to what is undoubtedly, the big event of Episode 2. This is the whole point of the episode and the reason I had to spend 2 weeks just planning it out before writing. It's a shame I can't tell you guys anything because there are no non-spoilery allusions I can give.

That's all I've been up to. A lot of writing, and zero rendering, whenever I can finally get my setup back, the progress updates will be vice-versa and I can start shitting out previews and all that junk.

Much like Rob Thomas, I'm feeling a little unwell. I'm going to limit my online presence a little until I start feeling better. I don't know when that will be. Try to keep something going in my discord server, strings of :yo: surely can't be that place's maximum potential without me, right?
