Thanks for recognizing the effort. It truly was a lot of work. As for the pubes, it's really just a writing thing. Considering their circumstances, it makes sense for Miya and Cadence to be unshaven. And just like in real life some of the girls may change their grooming habits. Just like how Cadence trims it once she knows she'll be showing herself to you. So yeah, it adds to character design variety, but also at some points the girls may start/stop shaving, either for story reasons or just because they feel like it. It makes them feel more alive that way.
