Becky and Brianna Chapter 48

At the end of the second week of school was our first football game. All of the cheerleaders wore our uniforms. The guys all wore their Football jerseys. Kevin and I were inseparable. We kinda had to be, with all the eyes I'd been getting.

All the cheerleaders were excited about our first game. Aunt Becky, Ashley and Katrina came. Aunt Becky was recording our routines for my mother. I was excited, but I was really nervous, just like the pap rally.

The marching band played and marched first The national anthem was next. Right before kickoff both teams cheerleaders took to the field trying to fire up their crowd.

The stadium was packed. The teams took to the field. We kicked off first. Our special teams stopped them at the twenty yard line. Our team was all over them all night.

Matt rushed for over 120 yards and had a touchdown. Jamal and Mario each had two touchdown catches and over 110 receiving each. Kevin threw for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns.

We won 35-6. The opposing team didn't get a single touchdown. We performed our routines perfectly. The atmosphere of the game felt electric to me. I had a blast cheering with my squad. Amanda and Brittany were smiling and full of spirit just like the rest of us.

We always went out after game night. Usually to Denny's or a pizza place. It was always fun. Kevin and I would go out on Saturday night and he always spent the night with me.

Over the next four weeks our routines were pretty much the same. During the week Kevin would give me a ride to school and home after our practices.

The week before homecoming was spirit week. Our entire cheer squad dressed in school colors all week. Red and black. We all wore red and black ribbons or bows in our hair. On crazy shoe day Emma, Tiffani, Rachel, Penny and I all wore thigh-high boots in either red or black with corresponding color leggings with white blouses and red vests. On 50's and 60's day we wore plaid mini skirts and did our hair in pin-up girl style. We caught a lot of admirers from the guys.

Between the dance team and all the cheerleaders, freshman through Varsity, the guys at school were going crazy! It was too much fun! Friday night was game night. We were playing the Monarch Miners. They were the biggest rivals for our school. They had a record of 3-1 . They crushed their last two opponents. They also beat our school every year for the last ten years. Last year our team lost by 24 points. Kevin quarterbacked the second half and threw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns but it wasn't enough.

Kevin was focused all week on this game. We spent many nights together. I did everything I could to keep him happy and focused. We were 4-0 going into this game. My squad and I were as ready as ever. We went out and fired up the crowd. Towels were twirling in the stands the people were stomping their feet and cheering. The noise was thunderous! It made us smile brighter and more energetic!

Mario received the kickoff on the 10 yard line. He was behind Seth. Seth pancaked two guys as Mario jumped over them. He outran the entire team scoring a kickoff return for a touchdown.

The crowd went wild! We kicked off and the Miners returned it to their 45 yard line. The Miners ran the ball most of the way down the field. They scored with a short outside pass on the corner of the end zone.

After that it was a rushing game all night. Matt was fantastic Kevin was handing off the ball or pitching it to Matt in the backfield. The Miners had great passing coverage. Jamal and Mario couldn't get open long enough for Kevin to throw deep.

At the end of the first half it was 14-14. Kevin had 60 yards passing and was 6 receptions for 10 attempts. Matt had one touchdown and 120 yards rushing. Our defense and theirs were matched almost equally.

We performed our halftime routine just before the players came out. We got the crowd fired up. We kicked off the second half. The Miners had a great return. Their return man was at full speed. Mario was behind Seth. The return man juked past Seth. Seth caught his arm just enough to slow him down just a little. Maro used speed and tackled him at the waist. The return man dropped the ball.

Seth dove on the ball. Seven Miner players dove on big Seth trying to steal the ball back. Seth ended up with a fumble recovery. At the end of the third quarter it was 17-17. Both teams were relying on their running game. We had the ball on second down and 14 yards. Kevin took a Timeout.

He rushed to the coach and went back on the field.

Look guys we've done pretty good so far. But we have to break them up! We know their game and they know ours! I have an idea but I need time in the backfield.

What do you have in mind? Chance Oakley asked. Chance was Kevin's tight end. Let's do a double reverse!

We haven't practiced that since before camp said Seth, being a bit concerned.

No guts no glory! Said Kevin.

We can do this! Said Matt I'm game.

If the backfield gets swamped you have to pass it to Chance or Jamal. Just throw high! Kevin said.

Gotcha! Matt said.

1, 2, 3! Lions!!!

The team lined up in a standard nickel passing formation. Kevin called three huts. Seth snapped the ball. Two guys immediately locked up with Seth. Kevin pitched Mario, Mario pitched to Matt. Matt faked a pass and passed it to Kevin. The defense was almost on top of Matt. Kevin caught the ball, planted his feet. Chance was all alone 30 yards down the field. Kevin threw a perfect spiral. Chance caught it with two hands and scored his third touchdown of the season.

24-17. Lions!

The rest of the game ground down to a halt. The Miners ate over ten minutes in the fourth quarter only gaining a field goal.

24-20.

The Lions ran out the clock. We won 24-20. It was a hard fought victory. The guys were celebrating on the field like they just won the Superbowl. Chance was awarded the game ball.

We went to the Pizza Palace to celebrate. The guys gorged themselves on pizza and hot wings. We had the salad bar. While the guys celebrated, we sat nibbling on our salads. We were giggling as the guys were giving each other high fives and chest bumping.

The manager came over and asked us to quiet down. When the manager realized it was our local football team and we beat the Miners, he brought over several pitchers of Coke and Sprite "on the house", he said.

Just tone it a little please! He asked. The guys did.

Emma and Tiffani went to Emma's house with their boyfriends. Kevin spent the night with me. We celebrated our team's victory in a very different and passionate way. Even after a full game of football he still rocked my world! I rocked his world in return.

Kevin was gone before breakfast he had things to do. I had homework and the homecoming dance to get ready for.

Aunt Becky took me back to Kustom Kolors Salon. The girls went crazy over me. They pampered me to the hilt. 30 minutes into my makeover. Emma, Tiffani, Rachel, Penny showed up. Amanda and Brittany were a few minutes behind us.

The salon was packed with high school girls getting all dolled up. I was getting dressed at Alison's house. I haven't seen Alison since school started. She and Salome wanted to help me get ready.

Alison bought my dress, It was a Christian Dior Street Pink Chiffon Gown with metal Logo straps, it was Tokyo Rose Vintage style. It was a beautiful dress. It was 3/4 length dress. She bought me matching 6-inch platform heels. I was 5' 6" I needed heels standing next to all 6' 4" of Kevin.

Alison and Salome fussed over me for two hours. It was fun. Their happiness together was infectious. I loved both of them. I hadn't seen much of Jessica anymore. She was living with Lars full time. Salome said she and Lars were crazy about each other.

Bobbie was living with Katrina and Melissa was living with Carla. I missed my new friends, but I was happy they had their own lives now.

Alison and Salome checked and double checked my hair, makeup and dress. Alison gave me a pink leather Prada clutch with a gold chain strap. Salome loaded it with everything I would need for the evening.

Kevin picked me up at Alison's house. He was driving his Dad's Lexus 450 F-Type 2-door. He was the perfect gentleman, taking my arm, opening doors. He took me to Michelangelo's for dinner.

The ten of us had a table together. We sat in a boy-girl fashion next to our dates. The waitress brought us Bibs for our dresses. The guys ordered a full order of Seafood Alfredo (it was a large family pan). A half order of linguine with clams, salad and bread sticks.

Dinner was delicious, the guys are almost everything, we girls still had plenty to eat. We arrived at the large gym. The football team took over a corner of the gym. Chance and a couple players reserved two tables for us.

Chance was with his girlfriend Molly Sutton. Chance was 6' 6" tall. Molly was the captain of Basketball and Volleyball teams Molly was 6' 1" tall without heels. Molly was very pretty She had a square face with nice cheekbones. She reminded me of Kathy Ireland. The guys brought us two pitchers of punch and cups.

The Homecoming King and Queen were announced to begin the festivities. Jamal and Emma were presented as King and Queen. Kevin and Chance were nominated to the Kings Court. Penny and Tiffani were nominated for the Queens court.

I received a nomination and votes too. But I didn't campaign for it. I didn't know very many people. I was also too busy between school, cheer, and my home life.

We danced the whole night away. I must have danced with half of the football team. Mario and Jamal put on another dance show for everyone. It was a well practiced show. The whole school roared with applause.

I never went to a single event in my old school. This school was much more fun than my last school. Kevin and I danced almost every slow song. Kevin held me tightly. The only time I wasn't with him was when the girls and I went to freshen up. Amanda and Brittany were in the bathroom, no drama this time.

The dance ended at 11 pm. A bunch of us snuck out early and went to Denny's. It was a party atmosphere but we kept the noise a bit lower this time. Everyone separated after Denny's. Kevin took me home. It was just Kevin and me this time alone.

I prepared a special treat for Kevin. I did a special dance for him. Kevin got very excited. It was our best night together so far. Magic is the only way to describe how great our night was. I was his queen. I made darn sure Kevin was treated like a King.

The next morning I was in the kitchen making breakfast. I was wearing my green lace bodysuit and matching satin robe. I was wearing my clear 6-inch stiletto heels and an apron.

Kevin walked into the kitchen and wrapped me up in his arms. He kissed the back of my neck. I spun around and we kissed deeply. My left leg went in the air and my body responded to his advances. Another magical kiss and morning for us.

Kevin left at 10:30. I cleaned up and started my homework. Becky came home around 2 pm. My phone was blowing up all afternoon. I didn't dare answer it. I had lots of homework to finish. Becky left me alone to do my work.

Bree! Are you about finished? Becky asked.

Just about! I answered.

Put some jeans on! Let's go get some dinner!

Okay! I need 30 minutes.

I'll meet you downstairs! Becky said.

Becky and I went to Juanita's. It was a family Mexican restaurant. We had a nice quiet dinner. Becky wanted to know how everything went last night. With exception to a few details I told her everything.

The next six weeks were busy as well. The football team was 10-0. We had a playoff game coming up this Friday night. It was a road game. We were playing my old school! My anxiety was at its highest since before I moved.

Emma and Tiffani stayed close to me.

Relax Bree! Emma said. No one will recognize you! You don't look like Brian anymore. Not even close! She exclaimed with confidence!

Not even close! Tiffani added. Besides we'll be on the other side of the field!

My old school stadium sat about 8 thousand people. The place was packed. At least four thousand people from our school showed up to watch. We changed into our cheer uniforms on the charter bus. The football team changed in the locker room inside the school.

We waited patiently for our turn on the field before the game started. I was a bundle of nerves. I cheered all year without an issue. Now I was back at this place! I was in hell! I could see across the field dozens of kids that had bullied me. I wanted to run and hide! I wanted the football team to treat them the way they treated me!

Rachel grabbed my arm.

Bree! Snap out of it! You're with us now! No matter what happens, we've got you, girlfriend!

I looked at Rachel in the eyes. Rachel looked as strong and confident as Emma.

We're all with you! Penny said. Now let's fire up our fans and kick some ass!

Let's go! I said trying to fire myself up. We ran out on the field and blasted our music. We played Bring me to life by Evanescence. Once we started our routine, my training kicked in. We cheered our hearts out! I felt my anxiety lighten up.

My old school was the Hawks. They were 10-0 just like we were. We lost home field advantage by a coin toss. The Hawks were contenders like we were all year. This was a Regional playoff game where the winner goes on to the state championship.

As far as I was concerned everything was on the line tonight. I had an idea, but needed Kevin and his team to pull it off!
